TurboXS Standard Boost Controller

Possibly the most effective way to generate more power from your turbocharged vehicle is to simply increase the boost pressure. This can be achieved quickly and very cost effectively with the TurboXS Standard Boost Controller.

The TurboXS Standard Boost Controller is installed in line with the pressure hose running from the positive pressure side of the turbo to the wastegate actuator system.

The TurboXS Standard Boost Controller can be used on vehicles with internal and external waste gate systems and on vehicles fitted with factory electronic boost control systems.

Quick & Easy to Install

Simply cut the waste gate pressure hose and insert the supply pressure hose onto the brass nipple of the boost controller. Insert the waste gate supply hose onto the blue colored nipple. Secure the hoses with hose clamps. Alternatively, use the hose extension which eliminates the need to cut the pre-existing pressure hose. The Boost Controller can be mounted with the mounting bracket.

Simple Accurate Adjustment

The boost pressure is adjusted via the adjusting screw located internally on the top of the TurboXS Boost Controller. The vehicle’s boost pressure can be increased by winding the adjusting screw in the counter-clockwise direction. Once the boost pressure has been increased, winding the adjusting screw in the clockwise direction will decrease the boost pressure. Typically, one (1) full turn of the adjusting screw in the counter-clockwise direction will result in a turbo boost increase of one psi.

The TurboXS Dual Stage Boost Controller is installed in line with the pressure hose running from the positive pressure side of the turbo to the waste gate actuator system. A switch is wired back to the cabin to switch between boost levels. The switch is lit when on high boost.

TurboXS High Performance Boost Controller

Accurate Boost Control

The HPBC has two (2) boost control mechanisms built into it. One is a ball and spring mechanism for large and coarse boost pressure increases and the other is a bleed valve system for precise boost pressure setting. The ball and spring mechanism keeps pressure out of the wastegate until the preset boost level is reached, significantly reducing wastegate creep and providing quicker turbo spool up. Boost is adjusted with the simple turn of the screws using the included 2mm hex key.

Quick & Easy to Install

TurboXS Blow Off Valve Type S

The TurboXS Blow Off Valve - Type S is designed to release compressor pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly. This valve is an extremely important part of any turbo system allowing quicker turbo spool up between gear changes and greatly increasing the life of a turbocharger. The BOV Type S is recommended for small to medium sized turbo charged engines running up to 15 psi boost. Each valve is individually tested to hold 30 lbs. of boost. Sizing of valve is based on flow and not boost pressure.

For custom turbo applications, the TurboXS Blow Off Valve Type S is installed directly into the connecting pipe running between the turbo and the throttle body housing as shown in the diagram at the right of the screen. The valve vents to atmosphere at sound pressure levels in excess of 106 dB when measured 3 feet from the valve.

The Turbo XS Type S Blow Off Valve is fully adjustable by adding adjusting packer washers included with the kit. The high grade aircraft aluminum body is anodized bright purple to provide outstanding looks and superior corrosion resistance.


TurboXS Blow Off Valve Type H

Designed for high performance, the TurboXS Blow Off Valve - Type H relieves compressor pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly. This valve is an extremely important part of any turbo system allowing quicker turbo spool up between gear changes and greatly increasing the life of a turbocharger. The BOV Type H provides greater venting flow than the Type S and is designed for turbo charged engines running 10 to 25 psi boost. Each valve is individually tested to hold 30 lbs. of boost. Sizing of valve is based on flow and not boost pressure.

The valve vents to atmosphere at sound pressure levels in excess of 110 db making it one of the loudest on the market. It is fully adjustable by adding packer washers to make sure the valve stays closed at idle.

TurboXS Racing Bypass Valve Type H34

Designed for performance, the TurboXS Racing Bypass Valve Type H relieves the pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly. Because the valve’s exhaust port can easily be plumbed back into the car’s air intake, the valve is ideal for Mass Air Flow (MAF) metered cars where venting to atmosphere can create a "rich" air/fuel ratio. The Racing Bypass Valve Type H is CNC machined out of billet aluminum and is specifically designed with high boost applications in mind:

With the included 34mm hose adapter, the TurboXS Racing Bypass Valve is designed for "bolt-on" replacement of many late-model stock OEM bypass valves including Mitsubishi Eclipse/Talon, 3000GT/Stealth, Evolution, and Nissan 300ZX TT. Turbo XS Racing Bypass Valve RBV-25

The Turbo XS Racing Bypass Valve Type 25 was specifically designed to replace the 1 inch (25mm) Bosch Bypass Valve used in most Volkswagen and Audi applications. The Bosch valve is prone to failure in stock application and not adequate for holding boost in "chipped" 1.8T equipped vehicles. The RBV-25 spring tension is adjustable, making it ideal for your modified vehicle. The RBV-25 relieves the pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly.

This bypass valve is ideal for the VW/Audi 1.8T vehicles since the factory ecu requires accurate signals from the MAF sensor.


TurboXS Adaptor Kits and Flanges

These Turbo XS adapter kits and flanges make it easy for you to replace your factory or aftermarket blow off valve in minutes. Some things to note before buying a Blow Off Valve/Bypass valve adapter kit or adapter:

  • Blow Off Valves and Bypass Valves are sold separately from the kits
  • Blow Off Valves come standard with both aluminum and steel weld-on adapters for custom installs
  • RBV-H34 comes standard with a 34mm anodized aluminum hose adapter
  • Type H kits/flanges fit the Blow Off Valve Type H, Blow Off Valve Type H-RFL, AND Racing Bypass Valve Type H34
  • You need two (2) BOV-Hs for a 300ZX Twin Turbo, but only one (1) adapter kit

TurboXS FCD (Fuel Cut Defender)

Finally a fuel cut defender that you don't have to hit fuel cut to adjust. Completely universal, this device allows you to raise your over-boost fuel cut so you can boost to your hearts content. While many devices completely eliminate the boost cut, the TurboXS FCD allows you to raise the fuel cut limit but still have an over-boost setting.

Simple 4 wire installation gets you up and running in no time. This is a great compliment to one of our boost controllers.

Adjusting the TurboXS FCD is easy.
  1. The FCD enables you to temporarily disable overboost fuel cut while tuning by moving the switch to the OUT position. You can now set your new overboost fuel cut limit without actually hitting overboost fuel cut.
  2. The FCD has two LED indicators, the left LED is red which indicates the FCD is clamping the factory MAP signal (eliminating overboost fuel cut). You set this by driving the car and turning the left dial counter-clockwise until the red LED comes on at a boost level just below the factory overboost fuel cut level. Your overboost fuel cut has been eliminated so you can adjust your boost controller to your desired boost level.
  3. The right LED is blue which indicates your new over boost fuel cut level. You set this level by driving the car and turning the right dial counter-clockwise until the blue LED comes on at the maximum boost level you want to run. Turn the dial clockwise just a bit until the LED goes out and you have now set your new overboost fuel cut level just above your desired maximum boost level.
  4. Turn the switch back the IN position and your new overboost level is enabled. Note: If you do not put the switch back to IN you will have no overboost protection!

This unit is designed to be housed within the passenger compartment!

Warning: When raising boost pressure, make sure you have a boost gauge, the boost level you set is within the mechanical limits of your components and you have tuned your vehicle appropriately.
